Call for Abstracts

CEPA welcomes you to showcase your work at the Annual Meeting through a scientific or case study abstract. Abstracts must highlight work within the field of clinical exercise physiology.

CEPA welcomes abstract submissions of research and case studies. All abstracts will undergo blinded review by members of the Program Planning Committee to evaluate the scientific and/or clinical merit and written presentation. Abstracts that have been presented within the past 12 months or have been submitted to a regional or national conference of the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) may be submitted for this CEPA conference.

Corresponding authors will be notified by email of acceptance in November 2025. Accepted abstracts will be highlighted in the CEPA annual meeting final program, CEPA website, and published in the the Journal of Clinical Exercise Physiology.

Authors selected for an oral presentation will submit a 10 minute video recording of themselves presenting a slide presentation of their research or case study. Presentations should emphasize the application of their findings to the field of clinical exercise physiology. Asynchronous access to these videos will be provided to all who register for the conference.

Early Investigator Award: Award entries are processed through the abstract submission process. To qualify for this award the corresponding abstract author must be no more than 5 years since completion of their academic degree. Qualifying authors will be invited to remotely present a 10-minute slide presentation to the Conference Award Committee the week prior to the annual conference. One presentation will be selected as the award winner and will receive $250 from CEPA.

Abstract Submission Fee: $10 (CEPA members) / $20 (non-members)
